In 2025, we trialled holding the Raft Race as a separate event!
The event featured:
🚣 Get on the water – 12-3pm – at the Leamington Liftbridge/Lochrin Basin 🚣
with Driftwood Adventure along (££ – no booking required) with paddleboards or canoes 🎉 accompanied by some DJ sounds to get the party started 🎉
🎶 The Raft Race was from 3-5pm, and we were entertained by a variety of unique homemade rafts, with songs and banter from the fantastic Andy Chung 🎶

Spectators lined the towpath between the Leamington Liftbridge and the Lochrin Basin
💦 Meanwhile at Fountainbridge Green, 45 minute cruises on wide-beam barges were offered throughout the afternoon. 💦
🌿 Our Fountainbridge Canalside Greenspace Group offered some free activities on Fountainbridge Green – just next to where the barge trips depart (12-5pm) 🌿
🍕 If you were feeling peckish, there are a number of local cafes serving food and drinks, and Outta Space Pizza were at Fountainbridge Green too 🍕
